I started this because I was tired of watching good businesses rent their own websites.
I’m a software engineer. I’ve spent years building the internal tools and web apps real companies run their operations on, for years at a time. Along the way I noticed independent businesses I cared about were paying rent on websites they didn’t own, locked into platforms they couldn’t leave.
So I started thesitenerds to give independent businesses the same thing enterprise businesses get: real software, built to last, owned by the people who paid for it. Every project ships in an account under your name — your site, your content, your customer data. You decide where it lives, who touches it, and when.

Real software.
Not a template.
Every site we build ships as a standalone Go application talking to its own Postgres database — the same stack used inside the kind of companies that can’t afford to have a site go down. No page builders, no plugin sprawl, no vendor lock-in. You get a Dockerfile and a repository you can take anywhere.
The marketing side is server-rendered for speed and SEO. The client portal, where it applies, runs on React and TypeScript because interactive state earns the bundle. Payments through Stripe, email through Resend, analytics through PostHog — privacy-friendly by default.

TheSiteNerds LLC is a New York limited liability company, formed in 2026. We work remotely with clients everywhere; in-person meetings happen in the Buffalo metro area by arrangement.
